Woops. Late.

A little late with the updated life drawing.
Lovely trip to the natural history museum, which, to start, was slow, though ended being much better than the art museum. Loads more kids, and people looking at exhibitions a little more intently...meaning less movement.
Anyway, here's the pics.

Got all of my favourite little sketches in one pic.

Was concentrating on following the techniques in class, stripping back lines and unnecessary borders. Was quite difficult to really strip back, and suggest form with little information. Though i was doing it before when i started a drawing, it was hard to stop, and leave the lines to suggest what i would normally fill in.
Have also done a few drawings in a small notebook, which i'll upload a little later...
Looking forward to doing some more on-location drawing :)

On Location

These drawings are mainly from the National Gallery, of people looking at art, talking, waiting, and a few sneaked in from my private book of people waiting in public places; cinemas, train stations etc.

Line of Action

Not so much thinking about rendering the whole figure this time. Trying to get a sense of motion and dynamics. Wish the 'force, Matessi' book had arrived earlier. Would've liked to get a bit of practice beforehand.

 
 

I really enjoyed the quick poses, of 1 minute, though still felt it was a little long. I found myself filling in features and details that i didn't really need.

First drawings from the 27th October.

I haven't done life drawing for a good few years. It's nice to get back into it :) Though these drawings have awful proportion, especially in the legs. Possibly due to being sat at a desk while drawing..will try and practice this to see if i can improve.
